Biography

Peter creates live performances and installation artworks, with a distinct focus on audience participation. His artistic practice musically reimagines the notion of the algorithm as a revealing process that can be observed in the behaviour of ordinary objects and everyday experience. In his most recent work, generative music procedures are tied to the gestural affordances of physical matter, creating a direct link between gesture, sound, and the algorithm. His projects have been exhibited or performed internationally at Ars Electronica (AT), Biennale Némo (FR), the Japan Media Arts Festival (JP), ELEKTRA Festival (QC), ISEA (QC) and more. His work has received numerous awards including an honorary mention in the 2025 Prix Ars Electronica, and the 2019 Matera Intermedia Award for Live Performance & Sound Art (IT). He holds a master‘s in musique composition et création sonore from the Université de Montréal, and a BFA in Electroacoustic Studies from Concordia University.
